“13Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”
Ephesians 6:13-15 (NIV)

Heh, unfortunately, the above haul of Crocs shoes above didn’t involve anything spiritual at all, except for maybe a large dose of God-given patience in the Shopping Battle. Divine patience that a) helped me to survive 1 hour in a snaking queue to ENTER the Crocs sale at Expo, and then another 30 mins to queue to pay for our shoes, and b) prevented me from yelling at all the inconsiderate bargain grabbers who cut queues and shovelled shoes into their plastic bags like there was no tomorrow.
I did loudly declare that I would never ever do this again. Motherhood really does strange things to you cos I’m one that is quite terrified in crowds, and am a bit of a hypochondriac when it comes to catching germs from others. But because I’d been having SUCH a hard time finding suitable shoes for Littlelam recently, I decided that I would get her first pair of Crocs. Yup, I’m slow on the update, but I didn’t really see what the fuss what about, until now. As a mom, I realise the practicality of the shoes, and also they do look pretty cute on kids. So I bought like 3 years worth of shoes for her. So I won’t have to go again until say, 2011?
(In case you were wondering, the ballet pumps were for someone else, the large orange caymans were for the hubby, and the teeny tiny red one is reserved as a gift. The blue one is Littlelam’s current size.)
